Everything’s S’more(s) fun with friends

Okay, I’ll admit it. I’ve only just developed an appreciation for S’mores, thanks to my Canadian friend, Olga.

Flesh & Buns

Back in 2013, I had no idea what S’mores were; I actually thought they were just another  of Olga’s ‘Canadian-isms’…until I discovered the gooey truth.

Convinced that I shouldn’t be missing out on S’mores heaven/sugar high by my Canadian friend, I was intrigued to find you could make your own at Flesh & Buns.

Since we weren’t really in the mood for a large steak or sushi.

We decided to head to the restaurant for (our) just dessert (s).

Upon arrival into this basement room, my two friends exchanged bemused looks as later I realised they thought I’d brought them to a burger joint instead of hugely anticipated S’mores-land.

We immediately ordered: “S’mores x3 please!”

Until the waiter advised us each plate of S’mores, comes with 2 portions. In the end, we ordered 1 plate and added on another portion for the three of us. At £8 for a plate of 2 S’mores, that turned out to be the best option.

No sooner had we sipped at our accompanying tea & coffee, our mini camp-fire arrived.

All three of us were slightly dubious about the green tea chocolate but agreed that after melting the marshmallow on top, the flavours and textures just worked altogether.

YUM!

Flesh & Buns

Safe to say, I can’t believe I’ve missing out on these sweet treats for so long.

I probably wouldn’t be able to splurge on Flesh & Buns’ S’mores every week, but knowing how simple they are to make definitely makes me want to try them for myself at home!
